Self-referenced frequency comb measurement by using a polarization line-by-line pulse shaper

 

A polarization line-by-line pulse shaper is used in retrieving the individual spectral phases of a frequency comb without any optical or radio-frequency reference. The method is the first experimentally proven one that can measure Kerr frequency comb with large (>100 GHz) comb spacing, which is attractive for high-precision spectroscopy and metrology.
